Golden Rule
When in doubt, size down rather than up. For example, if your measurement is 11.5mm and there are only 11mm and 12mm wide nail, choose 11mm. The fit or look will not be affected significantly.

Method 1: Soft Tape

Use a soft measuring tape to measure the widest curved distance from one edge of your nail to another

Method 2: Paper strip

Step 1 Wrap a strip of paper around the widest part of your nail

Step 2 Mark both edges with a pen

Step 3 Lay the paper flat and measure the distance between the two marks with a ruler
